Hi!
I’ve been a nanny for 18 years and have babysat for over 25 years. In that time, I’ve worked with ages two-months to 12-years; infant and toddler twins; nannied for families with as many as four children; and babysat for families with as many as six. I’ve handled enteral feeding; cerebral palsy; epilepsy; global developmental delays; gifted children; and household management. I have a 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid with AWD; a college degree; passport; current CPR and First Aid certification; and up-to-date vaccinations, including Flu, Tdap, and COVID.
I pride myself most on being a nanny of genuine interest and engagement. The one that shows up for swim meets, soccer games, and piano recitals on off hours; remembers birthdays; or becomes an extension of an infant in my care. I’m told I’m a natural teacher, by teachers. I adore the outdoors, know how to swim, and love adventure. I bring a lot of my own supplies and toys to educate and entertain; I have over 300 children’s books! (My count isn’t off. The photo is outdated.)
Those in my care have enjoyed zoos, aquariums, ceramic paint studios, hiking, flying kites, launching rockets, geocaching, and so much more. My approach with the youngest is more low key, like tummy time, reading, walks, mimicking, and just experiencing the world as they do. As younger children get older I usually add indoor playgrounds, story time at the library, and find a good playgroup and/or regular play dates.
I last worked with a Clyde Hill family for 2.75 years. It ended because their child entered Kindergarten. I still babysit her on occasion. Before her, I nannied for a Bellevue family that had three children for 3.25 years, and frequently babysat them for nearly another 3 years before they moved. These families, and many more, are among my many references, of course.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Steven
